RS polls: Congress picks Kharge, Mansoor Ali Khan & Khera from Karnataka
Rahul Gandhi will be in Bengaluru on Friday to accompany Kharge at Vidhana Soudha during the filing of his nomination papers for Rajya Sabha.

The Congress on Thursday announced its list of seven
candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections, renominating party chief Mallikarjun
Kharge from Karnataka.
The party also fielded AICC Secretary Mansoor Ali Khan and
its media and publicity department in-charge Pawan Khera from Karnataka.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be in Bengaluru on Friday
to accompany Kharge at Vidhana Soudha during the filing of his nomination
papers for Rajya Sabha. Kharge is the Leader of Opposition in the Upper House
of the Parliament, whose term in Rajya Sabha is ending on 25 June.
AICC General Secretary, Organisation, KC Venugopal, said the
Congress has fielded former MP Meenakshi Natarajan in Madhya Pradesh. The party also fielded Praveen Chakravarty,
its head of the Data Analytics and Professionals Wing, for the Rajya Sabha
election in Tamil Nadu, besides renominating Neeraj Dangi from Rajasthan.
Pranav Jha, attached to the Congress president, is nominated
from Jharkhand. The Rajya Sabha elections will be held on 18 June. The last
date for filing of nominations is 8 June.
